• What are cookies files?

  “Cookies” term shall be understood as the information about the technology data, especially including text files stored on the end-devices of the users, intended for using the websites. These files help in recognizing the user's device and displaying the website properly, adjusted to the user's preferences. "Cookies" usually include the name of the website from where they come from, time of storing them on the end-device and the unique number.

     • they help truly important website functionalities; disabling them will prevent the certain functions from working properly

Business - they enable providing the business model that is a base for the website, disabling them will not cause unavailability of the whole functionality of the website, however it can lower the quality and level of providing the service, regarding the lack of providing the incomes subsidizing the website functioning, by the website's owner. To this category belong e.g. advertising cookies.

  B. The time that cookies will be placed on the end-device of the user

  1. Session cookies - cookies placed for the time of using the browser (session), are deleted after closing it.
  2. Persistent cookies - they are not deleted after closing the browser and stay on the user's device for the established time or without the expiry date, depending on the settings of the owner's website.

  C. The origins – the website's administrator who manages cookies

  1. First party cookies - cookies placed directly by the owner of the website which was visited.
  2. Third-party cookies - cookies placed by the external parties, whose website components were invoked by the owner of the website.

  Attention: cookies can be invoked by the administrator with the help of the scripts, components which are placed on the partner's servers placed in a different localization - other country or even completely different legal system. In the case of invoking by the administrator the website's components deriving out of the administrator's system, different cookies policy might apply from the ones in the privacy/cookies policy of the administrator's website.

  2. Security and reliability of the website - enable the authenticity verification and optimization of the website's efficiency.
  3. Authenticating - enable informing when the user is logged thanks to which the website can show the proper information and functions.
  4. Session state - enable saving the information about how the users are using the website. They can relate to the most often visited websites or potential pop-ups regarding the errors, displayed on certain sites. Cookies files used for saving so-called “session state" help in improving the services and provide more comfort while viewing the sites.
  5. Processes - enable efficient functioning of the website and the available functions there.
  6. Advertisements - enable viewing the advertisements which are more interesting for the users, and simultaneously more valuable for the publishers and the advertisers, enable personalizing the ads, they can also be used for displaying the ads outside the website (domain).
  7. Localization - enable adjusting the displayed information to the user's localization.
  8. Analyzes and researches, viewership audit - enable the owners of the website to better understand the preferences of his users, and by analyzing, help in improving and developing the products and services.   Personal data gathered with the help of Cookies can be gathered only for the purpose of performing certain functions for the user. Such data are cyphered in a way that prevents the access by the unauthorized people.

• Deleting Cookies

Such settings can be changed in a way to block automatic handling of the cookies, in the browser settings, or to inform about each transfer to the user's device.
