A 5L mineral-based sorbent designed to remove the effects of liquid spills from hardened surfaces. Granules have a grain size of 0.5-1mm.
Rocks containing large amounts of mineralized diatoms are subjected to complex technological processes, resulting in a final product in the form of exceptionally high-quality granules. Calcination, i.e., the roasting process, significantly increases the granulate's sorption efficiency, which has a dominant effect on the amount of liquid absorbed. The granule structure is porous, with empty spaces within. The absorption process initially moves inward, and in the final stage, the free external spaces of the granule are also filled (liquid absorption inside and outside the granulate).
Sorption Capacity
The average sorption capacity reported by the manufacturer over several years for oil is approximately 116%.
Sorbent Application
Granular material used to remove and absorb spilled fuels, oils, and other petroleum products.
Sorbent Use
Sprinkle a thin layer of sorbent onto the spilled liquid. A color change indicates the absorption process is underway - if the sorbent does not change color, the sorption process is complete.
